2024 goes down in history of Gut Hülsenberg!

Never before has herd performance and lifetime yield been so high and never before have so many cows reached the magical 100,000 kg lifetime performance mark. This would not have been possible without first class herd management, including the proven SCHAUMANN mineral feeds with RINDAMIN BP, SCHAUMANN ENERGY PRO, RUMIVITAL I, RINDAVITAL VARIO HEPA and others.

An important reason for these phenomenal performances is the excellent roughage quality of the 2023 harvest. Outstanding silage qualities with a roughage content of 60 % were fed to the dairy cows throughout the year. These silages, supported by various BONSILAGE products, enable top performance.

A great jump in milk yield was achieved with almost 13,700 kg milk and 1007 F+P kg. This is something to be proud of! Milk solids have been improved: fat 3.97 % and protein 3.38 %. These improvements are due to several factors, such as genetics, more frequent feed presentation and more stable rumen fermentation. At the same time, great importance is attached to sustainability and high herd health. The average somatic cell count for the year is 118,000.

The lifetime performance, an important parameter for efficiency and economy, is 25 kg milk/lifetime. This puts Gut Hülsenberg back in first place in Schleswig-Holstein and it will also reach the top list in Germany.
